Isaac Ezban
Mexican film writer and director
Isaac Ezban is a Mexican film writer and director, co-founder of the production company Red Elephant Films and of Autocinema Coyote
(the biggest drive-in theater chain in Latinamerica). His first film The Incident (2014) premiered at Cannes Film Festival and 50 more festivals,
gaining prestige from Guillermo Del Toro. His second film The Similars (2015) won Best Latinamerican Film at Sitges and made Isaac the first director
in the history of Mexico to have 2 films in 2 years in a row in Official Selection in the two most important genre film festivals of the world
(Fantastic Fest and Sitges). Isaac was then hired by BRON Studios to direct Parallel (2018), his third film and first English spoken film, in the US.
In 2022, Isaac broke box office records with his fourth film and first entry into full horror Mal de Ojo, co-produced and distributed by Cinepolis,
which became the third highest grossing Mexican film of the year and # 1 in Mexican horror for the last 3 years, and is now available on Amazon Prime
Video, with his previous 3 films. During 2023, Isaac directed his fifth feature film Parvulos, also within the coming-of-age / horror landscape, which
will be released during 2024 by Corazon Films. Represented by Vision Entertainment and Good Fear Management, Isaac now getting ready to direct his sixth
film, while he´s currently working on more screenplays of his own, and has been hired by Sony Pictures to direct the awaited adaptation of Dan Simmons's
classic horror novel Summer Of Night.
